The Recruitment Fee :
The services that are covered by this fee incorporate the different tasks required to be done as shown below. The fee covers the period to the commencement of employment in Malta.
- Identifying Client Needs
- Matching the right candidate to these needs.
- Obtaining CV’s, personal histories and references and submitting a short list of candidates to the Client and giving every assistance in the selection process.
- Making arrangements for the client to conduct telephone interviews with candidates and / or referees.
- Submitting the clients work permit application and dealing with government departments if required, to obtain it in the quickest time.
- Obtaining the candidates Visa application in Singapore at no charge to the client.
- On behalf of the client, paying incidental expenses necessary to obtain the Expatriate Engagement Expenses in Malta – currently about 200 euros – and invoicing later.
- Finalizing flight arrangements, liaising with the client on the candidates ETA at Malta International Airport, meeting the candidate on arrival at the airport and making the necessary introductions with the client at the clients residence.
The Recruitment FEE is of 1 months gross salary + VAT

Guarantee of Replacement :
- Should the Employer decide not to retain the selected employee CMIS will replace that Carer with a new candidate for which no recruitment fee will be levied. This will also apply if the employer does not wish to extend the Carers contract for a second year and in this case the employer should give CMIS a minimum of 3 months notice to prevent a delay between the first candidate leaving and the second one arriving. CMIS will also waive the Expatriate Engagement Expenses for the new candidate. This guarantee will not apply for any further replacements.
Management & Administrational Fee – Optional Extra
The service we offer is intended to save you as much of the added work and responsibilities that go with becoming an employer. This includes the following :-
- Inducting the Carer to Malta and particularly the immediate geography of the area surrounding the residence and any particular aspects the client wishes the carer to become acquainted with. CMIS will also ensure that the Carer attends to and signs up any official registrations necessary and that she obtains a good understanding of the public transportation system.
Being at hand when the client explains the job requirements to the carer and thereafter acting as an intermediary between the Carer and the client to try to establish a sound footing at an early stage and prevent misunderstandings from developing. To then remain available to the client for any staff handling difficulties that may arise.
3. To prepare monthly wages and to retain the necessary records to comply with the Commissioner of Inland Revenue and to establish internal controls on holiday and sickness pay. To also act as a disciplinary body if and where needed.
To assume the responsibilities that fall on the employer of an expatriate that all taxes due by them from whatever revenue received until their official departure from the Island is received by the Inland Revenue. In addition to preparing the end of year documents for the employee, CMIS will assume the responsibility to ensure full payment of taxes until the contract of employment has run it’s course until full clearance is given by the authority.
- CMIS will be available to assist in any emergency situation that may arise involving the employee such as car accidents, hospitalization, illegal happenings etc. In any such cases and if requested to, CMIS will liaise with the employers and on their behalf carry out all dealings with the authorities or any third parties that may be involved.
The FEE for such a service is of 135 euros per month + VAT and this excludes any third party expenses that may have been necessary. Such expenses will be added to the monthly invoices and be supported by the expenditure invoices together with the necessary explanations.
